Homework 03.18

What Outcome did your group pick for this week? In one at least two paragraphs, explain how the outcome is related to your story.

- The outcome that my groups choose this week were outcome 18 which are related with moral dilemma, Moral dilemma is when you are in a situation in which you are morally obliged to do something. Mi story called Brad Carrigan, American is related with this outcome because Brad which is the protagonist of the story is a men who love to help poor people and he think that the ones that have a lot should help the ones that need a lot, because by that way rich people will be able to help poor, but the problem was that his family are so egoist, egoist is when a person just think about them self not about other. So his family doesn’t want him to help the poor they think that that a craziness that he had and he should not help them. Our moral dilemma was “Brad need to choose help poor people or choose his family”. That the way that i think this outcome is related with Brad Carrigan, American

Is Wal-Mart good for America? Who in the film would say yes? Who in the film would say no? Why/ Why not?

Well in my opinion Wal-Mart is not good for America society, but is good for American people, well I said that because, as we see in the video Wal-Mart get most of their product from china, meaning that exploiting many people there in order to get there product also, they are not using any product made in US. And that mean that they are not buying things in America and they are doing some business with china that make American economy to go down. In other hand many people love to buy in Wal-Mart because they have their price down and they sell good things at cheap prices, and that what people in this world especially in US are looking for. Wal-Mart is a smart company that doesn’t help the country and either the society, because if you take a look by people buying at Wal-Mart, our economy in this country goes down for the reason that they are spending their money in china. And that affect this country. But as I said before people doesn’t look at that because they just looking for cheap prices and they doesn’t care about the other.

Bootleg Tape of Aide’s Jab Is Hit in China

The hottest cassettes in China these days are underground copies of a speech on agriculture by a Politburo member addressing the Central Communist Party School for senior officials. Bootleg videos and cassettes of the speech are in demand because of a tongue-in-cheek proposal by Tian Jiyun, a reform-minded Deputy Prime Minister that the Government set up special zones in which hard-line officials could live according to their orthodox Marxist principles. Mr. Tian then describes how the zone could compete with southern China’s current special economic zones that have adopted capitalist-style management techniques. Those zones, like Shenzhen, are the most prosperous parts of the country, and millions of Chinese try to get permission to move there. In contrast, the “leftist” zone would be open to anyone.

WWII IS REPLAYED IN HILLS OF BOSNIA

The old man stiffened as the vehicles approached the fresh-cut pine trunk serving as a roadblock, his bolt-action rifle at the ready. His uniform was a musty relic of the Chetniks of World War II, guerrillas who took to the mountains to fight the Nazis, and his golden-beret badge was a double-headed eagle, emblem of a medieval Serbian dynasty. “Attention! Attention!” he said, pointing down the winding mountain road leading toward Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. For several days this week, Serbian military commanders in the Romanija region of eastern Bosnia have been on alert for Muslim Slav guerrillas who roam the Alpine terrain, hijacking Serbian supply trucks, ambushing Serbian militiamen, and avenging in any way they can the disaster that has befallen their people. Until recently, the Muslims were dominant in eastern Bosnia. Outnumbered and outgunned by the Serbs, with tens of thousands of them driven from their homes, the Muslims nonetheless pose a continuing threat near the border with the Serbian republic.

Happiness is a state of mind and, like all things, it takes practice. Devote five minutes a day to smiling, just smiling, and after a while it’ll come naturally.
